Canadian player of the year award to honour the late Dan Halldorson

Mackenzie Tour – PGA TOUR Canada has announced the Freedom 55 Financial Canadian player of the year will receive the trophy named after the late Dan Halldorson.

Halldorson, who passed away in 2015, was devoted to advancing Canadian professional golf through his mentorship and guidance.

Along with the Dan Halldorson Trophy, the player of the year receives a $25,000 bursary to support them along the road to achieving their goals. The 2016 Freedom 55 Financial Canadian player of the year award recipient was Adam Cornelson of Langley, B.C.
