Max Parrot - My Ride

Cars have always been an obsession for me. There’s something about the speed and the fineness of an exotic car that relates so much to my life and the sport I love. If I hadn’t discovered and succeeded in my career as a snowboarder, I definitely would have chased a career in something related to cars.

I could go on and on about the cars I dream to own one day from a Porsche to a Lamborghini, but right now, my focus is on my pride and joy – my tuned Audi A4, which I’ve owned for close to five years. It’s a huge upgrade from the first car I owned, a Volkswagen Jetta TDI 2000 that I bought with the money I earned working at a golf course in Bromont. I nearly ran it into the ground with 330,000 km on the counter. My Audi started out as a practical and reliable car I could drive through the winters, but after a custom paint job, a set of new rims and a roof rack has quickly become a BEAST.

As much as I want to go nuts with my Audi, I like keeping it somewhat practical because it still needs to be able to head up to the mountain with me when I go for trips with my family, my girlfriend and my dog. I’m always going to live amongst the mountains, whether I’m snowboarding or dirt biking, so I still need that practicality.

My dream car is a Porsche Cayenne (though it’s definitely not practical for Bromont winters) or a Lamborghini Huracán – that’s a car that makes a statement.
